Alternative to sewn in cups?

Amanda, on April 13, 2024 at 11:28 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Hi! My wedding is in a few weeks and I had my final fitting, but I’m really unhappy with the cups sewn in. The seamstress said she can take them out, just trying to find a different option? I don’t like how fake & bulky the cups make me look, and I don’t want cleavage spilling out of the dress. I wish there was a more natural looking cup she could sew in. I was also considering just doing the sticky bra kind of thing. I really want a more natural look/to look like me. Any ideas? This is a picture of the dress without the cups, before it was altered at all. Alternative to sewn in cups? 1

If there is something you can try from home to get the right look, the seamstress could add that into the dress by removing straps and anything beyond the bodice of your dress. Maybe more people will chime in on Monday since the weekend can be slow here.

I forgot that the seamstress modified the dress already. If you are figuring on changing things, you could possibly experiment with some options beforehand by modifying what is there (if that seems easy enough). Additional boning can be added in many cases, if that idea fits any conceivable options for you.

Boomba. They have different cup sizes, some very minimal, but they hold great and give lift.

I'm not sure if you're later in May or earlier. If later, may be worth looking into an order.

Whatever you do avoid Misses Kisses. They are absolute crap and require a consultation video appointment to even use properly. Boomba, it's stick em and go.

Unpopular belief but the sewn in cups really don’t serve a purpose or have any functionality unless you don’t need them, meaning that you are small and perky enough to not need lift and support and you only need the nipples padded. If someone does need lift and support, sewn in cups are completely impractical. The best alternative is boob tape paired with pasties like you might find at goodlines.com. The cheap products that you find at CVS, including the Misses Kisses which are only designed for super small breasts, don’t work as well.
