Alcohol rules in Utah

Sara, on November 24, 2018 at 11:38 PM Posted in Utah Planning 0 7
It’s important to me to have champagne and wine available at my wedding reception and I’m running into so many Utah venues that don’t allow it. Any suggested places for this problem?

Hi Sara!! What an odd predicament. Have you found a venue that allows you to have champagne and wine like you want? What seems to be the issue?

Utah has very struck rules (because Mormons aren’t allowed to drink) so any Mormon owned venue, which is a lot of them here, won’t allow you to have any alcohol on the premises... it’s a ridiculous rule.

Cactus and Tropicals does, They even have a preferred vendors list that recommends a couple bar services. They even let you bring own as long as they meet certain criteria.

We are having our wedding at Arbor Manor - Mike Waters is the owner. He has 4 bartenders that are certified to serve at his locations. Just a heads up... your alcohol cannot come from out of state if it is being served by a Utah bartender. They can and will refuse to serve your alcohol.

They can lose their license if they serve it.
