After the storm

When we first had to push back from 9/4/20 to our new date of 9/4/21 it was heartbreaking! Our venue not wanting to work with us in any way to keep them as our vendor but just pushing back a year made it even harder. We lost money and that was a difficult pill to swallow as well. We decided to step back give ourselves a break and remember just as we find the venue we had we could easily find another. We started to feel the stress melt away as

we knew we were doing the right thing for the safety of all involved and we begin to feel hopeful that this time next year will be much better. We decided to book a few days away from home this week to make us feel better. In that time I got back on wedding wire and began to start a new. We found 3 beautiful vendors who offer so much than what we were getting with the first one. Everything from lodging to ceremony and reception are all in one place with each new venue (we didn't have that with the last venue) we liked the look the feel everything about each vendor and the prices were better! I am so happy that what felt like the end of the world is now a new beginning with better options. We are going to see our first new prospect tomorrow and spend the night. After hearing about how unwilling our past venue was to work with us our new prospective vendor gave us a discount on tomorrow's room rate and threw in a romance package of chocolate covered strawberries and champagne at no extra charge.

Hang in there Covid brides who are having to push back there is light at the end of the tunnelSmiley ring

It was a struggle to get back on track. Then after such a horrible battle with our previous venue who felt like we were over reacting I hang up the phone to see my MOH had a full out party back home in Philadelphia for her birthday no mask of any kind on anyone, no 6ft distancing nothing. I didn't even stress I just let myself be glad that we pushed back for a year and I didn't go home to visit for the party.
