Affordable wedding

Rae, on July 24, 2019 at 2:38 PM Posted in Wisconsin Planning 1 14
Has anyone found a venue for under 2,000.00?.
I'm trying to stick to a budget. But can't afford anything on this site.

Many thanks

Hey there! What city or area are you looking to get married in?
One tip, dont look at the prices that are listed for venues on this website...they are hugely inaccurate and confusing. Contact the venue directly or go for a tour and get the information and pricing directly from the venue.
I am getting married in Port Washington. My venue does not have a rental fee, and its a one stop shop with everything including food, alcohol, ceremony, dj, clean up/set up all in the price

Hey Rae! Welcome to the WeddingWire community!

It’s totally doable to plan a wedding on a budget! What the most expensive aspect of a wedding is having a large guest count. A large guest list means that you need a larger venue, will pay more on catering and drinks, will need more wedding favors, more linens and will lead to spending more on any rentals that you need.

When looking for a venue, you should think about some non-traditional wedding venues. Have you looked into any local community centers or parks in your area that you would be able to rent for a few hours?

You could also look into some local restaurants that have private event spaces to offer.

Have you thought about what style of wedding you would like to have? You should definitely check out Pinterest and YouTube for some DIY decor suggestions and tutorials! This will definitely help keep your overall cost down!

Thank you for responding. Where in port are you getting married at?
I'm looking at areas around Menomonee Falls.

We are getting married at Memories Ballroom in Port. Id say definitely check it out if you are on a budget and dont mind having it in port instead on the falls.
We are getting married october 2020 but we already love that everything is included in the price

I believe the first Atkinson club might be close to that price range.

Hi! Are you doing ceremony at the venue too? Look in to Twelve29 my fiance and I just booked them! Brand New venue. www.twelve29wi.com off season is 2000 and season is 2500. Smiley smile The owner Chris also manages Western Lakes Golf Course in Pewaukee and the price is very comparable!

We actually looked at Heritage Hall in Menomonee falls. The grand reception room downstairs is really nice and if I remember the prices were really low!

My friend got married at Heritage Hall early this year! It was nice, but it was very hard to enjoy the ceremony or their vows because all we could hear was LOUD bowling above us

Oh geez! Glad we said no. We ended up going with the Radisson ballroom in Wauwatosa as it's near us. We also loved the Elm Grove Racquet Club.

We have. We found a place not too far from Racine. It is a sports bar that also has a banquet hall. It was $500 to rent and that includes: set up, take down, tables, chairs, the owner is our personal reception planner and linen. We pay $75 per bartender that we need, and they also cater. The food is between $10-14 a person. The bar can either be cash bar, open, or half and half.

Try golf courses, community centers, and government owner locations like parks, are usually well under 2,000

For cheap, I'd look into fridays, since Friday weddings seem to be a lot cheaper.
The Bowery is a little over budget, but not bad! Its $3800 for a friday.
We are getting married at Mapleton barn located in Oconomowoc, and kts $3900. We get friday from 1-6 to set up, all day Saturday til 1030pm, and then sunday to clean.
We used that as a budget for us as well, and we unfortunately couldnt find anything. Smiley sad
