Advice

Lindsaylee, on November 17, 2021 at 1:45 PM Posted in Tennessee Planning 0 7

I am starting to plan my wedding which will take place on aug 12 2023 in TN. Does anyone have ANY advise? Anything will help. I know the date, where we are having the wedding, who is doing the hair/makeup and a photographer.

Have you booked a venue? My advice would be to do that soon if you have not yet! Many dates are filling up fast because of covid reschedules.

Then I would decide your vision and color scheme.

I’m in Knoxville! Happy to share vendor info for my area if you’re close to there.

We are doing Holly’s for catering. They are $$ priced & they’re food is EXCELLENT. A friend is doing Sweet Pea’s bbq for her wedding in December. If you’ve never had their Mac & cheese, you’re missing out.

Rentals: We are using All Occasions Party Rentals. They had everything we needed & the customer service was good. Competitively priced.
Interviewed Lisa Foster & LB Floral for florist. We went with LB Floral because she just understood what I wanted a lot better. Both were similarly priced. Lisa Foster was a bit more expensive.
We are actually just getting a cake from Publix. If you tell them that you’re wanting a tasting, you can pick your cake flavor, icing, and filling for 3 7” cakes & pick them up to try them. Free!
Single Barrel Events is our bartending service. We are getting hitched in a historic home…so not much room for a 6’ bar. We are having a horse trailer.
Emerald & Ivy as our photographer. We haven’t had our engagement photos yet (they were postponed) but she’s very nice & skilled.

You are welcome! I didn’t realize that. If you are looking for a cake option that’s not from a grocery store we were going to go with Magpie’s. We decided to have a dessert table through our caterer and a Publix cake though. The cakes are excellent.
