Advice on getting a wedding dress for me the groom

I mean, a lot of this is going to depend on your personal style and the kind of dress you're looking for.

I would recommend going to a bridal store to try some things on to see what silhouette suits your figure best and what you like the look of, but there are plenty of places that sell wedding dresses that aren't traditional bridal boutiques - chichi london, ASOS and lulus being a few.

It also doesn't really matter what I, or anyone else really thinks of a man choosing to wear a dress to their wedding - it is their day, and the only other person whose opinion matters is your fiancee's.

What I will say though, is that if this is not something you generally do in your day to day life, you might want to consider whether you are comfortable with you wearing a dress becoming the focus of the day, as opposed to the relationship between you and your wife. Perhaps you could wear some dresses to various events to the lead up if this isn't something you've done before, so that the focus remains where it should - on the evolving relationship of you and your wife, rather than what you're wearing when it's happening.

I agree with this. Its obviously up to you, but it could steal all focus from you as a couple if it surprises people. Post pics after you try some on!

I'm not sure what your budget is and wedding gowns can be outrageous, but what I did was try on what I wanted at David's bridal, though any gown shop would do, and then I bought what I was looking for on JJ's House.
