What length of honeymoon are you looking for? That can make a huge difference budget wise.

What about US or british virgin islands (US isn't out of the country technically, but as a warning you do need a passport to reenter the country)? How long are you trying to go for? 4 days could be doable for 3 grand, but not 2 weeks. Also, Jamaica, Dominican republic, Aruba are nice as well and can be cost effective if you shop around. All inclusive can save money or can be a waste of money (if you don't drink, were going to eat more inexpensive meals out, etc.)

@Rosered we are wanting at least five days.

We have looked into the Dominican Republic, but I have seen lots of reviews saying the food was just okay and they got food poisoning, which is a big deal for us because we're huge foodies.

Also we really want all-inclusive.

I'm a foodie too. I really like Secrets resorts or El Dorado resorts in Mexico. I'd suggest trying to find as nice of a resort as possible even if it means only 5 days. A cheap resort with terrible food will kind of ruin your experience.

What about a cruise? That's what we're thinking of doing! You'd get the beach experience but also get to explore more. There are lots of affordable cruise options. Good luck!

If you want all inclusive, you’ll probably have to do a cruise or the Caribbean. If you’re willing to go non-inclusive, I suggest Southern Portugal.

I'm currently pricing out Aruba for a trip in April. Flying out of philly for 6 nights st an all inclusive in Aruba for $3200 if I take off a day it's $2920. So that's an option! Check it out. They are also a safe island so I can go to local places to eat if you're a foodie (been there 4 years ago)

Try Costa Rica. You could have a week long honeymoon for that price

I second Costa Rica. My friends had their honeymoon there recently and said it was amazing.

If you can get a good deal on flights, Thailand, Vietnam, or similar could work. Once you get there it's so cheap. A $3 meal is luxury.

Yes I agree with others: try a cruise! You can find some great cruise lines that have good deals.

We booked ours thru cheap Caribbean and are going to Aruba in May

We went to Montego Bay, Jamaica and stayed at the Iberostar. It's an all inclusive, and we were there for a week. Including airfare, it was a little over $3 k, and well worth it.

Costa Rica. Beautiful beaches and very affordable.

We're looking at Dublin, Ireland 10 days flight and hotel total is about 3k
