We are flying our photographer Terra Ong out from Salt Lake City for our wedding August 23. She will be in Portland for a couple days on either side. If you're still looking for a photographer during those dates, check her out, she's amazing!

Likely Party Pros, but there are several companies out here. What made you guys decide on Cannon Beach? It's a gorgeous spot, let me know if you need any ideas while you're out here!

That’s who I was looking at. I really like the cross back “farmhouse” looking chairs but they don’t have those. So I may just do white.
We have been visiting cannon beach every year for the past almost 10 years. We come up for the PDX Swap meet and started making a beach vacation out of it. It’s such a peaceful happy place. I’m currently trying to find silverware that I could buy instead of renting for $.50 a piece. I found black ones on amazon so far for $.90 a piece. I really like the black or rose gold ones. And then I can keep or sell. Where is your venue?

Yeah, we had a massive struggle with silverware, and buy or rent. We are spreading out over a whole weekend. Intimate ceremony Friday the 23 at Mount Tabor, dinner after at Firehouse restaurant, and cake/dancing/party in the FMIL's backyard. Sunday we are doing a big traditional reception at my folks backyard in Hillsboro.

The benefit of using Party Pros is they may be the furthest West event company in the Portland area. It may save you a bit on transportation costs.

June 22 here! We’re doing a wedding weekend at Anderson Lodge Fri pm-Sunday am.
We are up to our eyeballs in wedding decor and planning! A 7 month engagement is too short with everything else we have going on!
What are you guys working on currently?

Congrats! Welcome! We are currently in cake land. Thankfully, our gluten free requirement narrows down the overwhelming number of choices quite a bit. Current diy is oversized paper flowers to go along the aisle, which are slowly but surely taking over our living room 😂 How about you?

Ahh GF! We have quite a few gf guests and we periodically have to go gf ourselves so I understand that! Where are you looking? We need a small cake for our folks as well.
we are working on getting stds out this week, final orders on decor items, inventory and organization of decor, and finalizing details or bookings with all vendors except floral.
Next week it’s all about getting our hands dirty on some diy invites, floral and getting song list together. Oh and fitting our littles for their suits that came in 😍

Oh goodness, you are busy! We are looking at Back To Eden for cake, they have incredible flavors. They only do 100% natural ingredients though, so if you have your heart set on fondant or dyed frosting, they won't work for you. We went with Robinson LTD for florals, who is our long-time florist out of Cornelius. She's really fairly priced and manages to get bigger, more beautiful roses than I've seen anywhere else.

Is there any place that rents the nicer cross back looking chairs in Oregon for less than $8? I don’t like the chiavari chairs at all. So it’s expensive cross backs or $3 wooden white. 😭 Any advice??
im also struggling with silverware... I want rose gold or black... but don’t want to rent for $.85 a piece
I found some napkins on clearance at homegoods. It made them about $.59 a piece compared to renting for $.70 through the party pros so that’s one win.
I also need to find chargers and dishes. I think I’m too pickey.
I am so overwhelmed with all the things!
On a side note I will be redoing two vintage church pews from Utah and bringing them all the way to cannon beach. I will probably sell them in Oregon if anyone needs them for their wedding. I don’t know how much love and labor they need yet until I rip the fabric off and sand down to paint white so price pending.

Besides unfinished church pews, some napkins, a cute cake stand I found at TJ maxx today, my venue and photographer I don’t have much else ready. 😅 I think I’ve just come to the conclusion that chairs and silverware and plates are going to cost a fortune and will never live up to my expectations. Haha

Yes it is. I got engaged in August and getting married in May. So much still to do and none of my bridesmaids live close to me! Luckily my grandma is very artistic and is already started making my centerpieces and thank you cards.
