2 questions: adding corset back to dress & fake wedding rings

Monica, on August 15, 2021 at 10:23 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
I have 2 questions. . . I just recently had a baby and don’t have much time to lose weight. Have any of you added a corset back to your dress? How did that process go? Was it expensive? And did the corset back look good?
My dress has a lot of beading on it, so I hope (if worst turns to worse and my dress doesn’t fit by October) there wont be issues removing the zipper & adding the corset.

2nd question: where can I go to get a cheap fake ring. My hands and feet were swollen during pregnancy the swelling is pretty much gone but I’m guessing I still have some excess fluid my wedding band and engagement ring still dont fit. I’m thinking of getting a costume jewelry ring for the wedding day but I don’t want to pay too much. Any suggestions other than Claires? I was thinking maybe Macy’s or JCPenney‘s but still sometimes their jewelry can be a little expensive.

I have heard adding a corset is very easy and common.

Walmart and Kohl’s have wedding rings that are inexpensive at $100

You can get an inexpensive set from italojewelry.
My baby is two and I still have fat feet. 😑.

Adding a corset shouldn’t be too difficult but I think you should check out the pricing so you cf

Glad to know a corset should be an easy fix.

Next question. Would it be weird to have the corset lace from the bottom upward? Would that look weird? Trying to think of a way to get easy access to the boobs for breastfeeding or pumping.

Look up rings on Etsy if you are looking for cute rings at a lower cost. The wedding band I’ll be wearing is from Etsy because I’m do indecisive and haven’t found the band I would like to wear forever yet

My ring is from modern gents trading company! We got a wedding set (engagement ring and band) for $90. I absolutely love it and everyone has commented on it. It looks just like real diamond and is great quality and doesn't turn my finger green. Shipping is fast too and they have a lifetime warranty.

I added a corset myself from Amazon for $25. Used a seam ripper to remove my zipper, watched a couple youtube videos on it, and handstitched in the corset. Was super easy and cheap!

I bought my dress a lot smaller thinking I would lose enough weight but I haven't lost enough to fit into my dress. My dress is also has beading its the Mori Lee 2887. I am going in next week to get a corset back added to it. The Seamstress said it would run around $150.

And on the ring my daughter got me a really pretty ring for Christmas like 2 years ago, i think she paid around $40.00 at Walmart and it still looks perfect i wear it everyday.

I know if you go to David's Bridal for alterations it's $250 to add in a corset back
